VITA Tax-a-thon Jan 31 & Feb 1

United Way of Greater Stark County’s VITA program is a Tax-A-Thon — 24 hours of free tax preparation split into 2 days of service for clients with annual incomes of $65,000 or less.

Saturday, February 1, 9AM – 9PM

You MUST call and schedule an appointment to participate in this event! 330-994-VITA (8482), Monday through Thursday, 10AM to 5PM.

This event is staffed by volunteer IRS-certified tax preparers, trained to ensure taxpayers get the best refund possible. Taxpayers unable to stay for in-person assistance will also be offered a “drop-off” service that complies with IRS regulations to keep information safe and secure.

The Tax-A-Thon aims to increase the number of families receiving free tax help, as well as raise awareness of tax credits for working families by providing the services in one location over a 2-day period.

There will be snacks for taxpayers visiting the site.
